About Croptek Bio
Martin Noble has worked in the agricultural industry for over 4 decades, advising on crop nutrition, and until recently, crop protection. Initially starting a career in the fertiliser manufacturing industry, pioneering clear solution and suspension fertilisers with ICI and Omex Agriculture, he eventually moved over to the agricultural merchanting sector in 1976, remaining there until 2005.
In 2005, he formed Croptek Ltd, partnering with the leading UK Agricultural Merchant, where he continued to advise farmers on crop nutrition and fertiliser systems. In 2017, Croptek Organic Ltd was launched providing organic manures to farmers in East Anglia, partnered on this occasion by a leading poultry litter supplier and transport company. This partnership complemented perfectly with the traditional products available through the general agricultural merchanting sector.
To complete the nutrient circle in April 2021, Croptek Bio Ltd was launched, further adding to the synergy of the nutrient cycle, and the interaction of healthy microbial soil structures. Croptek Bio has seen the interest in seaweed biostimulants begin to re-emerge in the industry which has subsequently continued to accelerate. Seaweed products have been around for centuries, so it is no surprise that the current global environmental climate has created pressure on the agricultural industry to re-evaluate the benefits of these products. Singularly or in combination with bespoke bacteria, these products are helping to combat the resistance developing in a growing number of crop protection products by improving plant health the soil structures through more active soil microbiota.
Working with leading global manufacturers and suppliers, we are able to offer a range of biostimulants from seaweed extracts which can be combined with an extensive range of bespoke bacteria to improve both soil and plant health created by the demand on modern-day food production. These products are available for conventional farming and in the case of organic farming, many of the products are supported by certifications from The Soil Association, The Irish Soil Association, and The O F & G.
The addition of Croptek Bio Ltd makes this group of small businesses unique in the agricultural sector as a supplier of traditional, organic, and biostimulant nutrients available to any type of farming enterprise. This new business is supported by biologists, microbiologists, and specialists who can advise on any aspect of plant and soil health that will ultimately lead to improving soil structures and crop yields.
